Chairman of VAOKS
He is an expert in the field of cultural heritage protection, architecture and construction with over 10 years of experience in civil service. He went from a state expert and an assistant of a People's Deputy to the director of the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection of the Kyiv City State Administration, which was created on his initiative. During his leadership, a number of systemic changes were initiated, in particular, the Center for the Conservation of Archaeological Objects was created and the city's targeted programs for the preservation of Kyiv's heritage were developed and implemented for the first time.
He has deep expertise in cultural heritage protection, urban management, strategic planning, and institutional development. He has over 10 years of experience in public service, has managed specialized structures, and has implemented systemic changes at the city level.
At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he organized measures to secure 28 monuments of monumental art in Kyiv together with the public (without using budget funds). Among the protected objects are monuments to St. Volodymyr, Bohdan Khmelnytsky, Taras Shevchenko, Lesya Ukrainka and others. Photo and video recordings of these measures are currently being analyzed by international professional community.
